V nesledujících řádcích se Vás budu snažit seznámit s taktikou, jakou by jste měli používat ve hře Counter-strike. Samozřejmě že když si to přečtete, nestane se z vás nějaký super hráč (když jste jím již nebyli), ale možná vám to pomůže aspoň trochu se zdokonalit ve hře. Postava :
Asi nejdůležitější věcí na začátku hry je výběr postavy. Ten by měl záviset od mapy, kterou hrajete. To znamená, že není dobré použít třeba pro teroristu bílé maskáče v mapě, která je hodně zelená jen proto, že je to vaše oblíbená postava a podobně. Mnohokrát se Vám může totiž stát že správný výběr postavy Vám zachrání život.
Chození po mapách :
Další důležitou věcí při hraní Counter-strike je správné chození po mapách. Myslete nato že v jednotě je síla a proto by jste měli chodit jako jeden tým a tím se navzájem krýt. Není totiž nic horšího než že se rozutečete každý jinam a tím se vlastně strašně oslabíte. Také rychlost je důležitá. Ze začátku by jste měli chodit nalehko (s nožem v ruce) a mít připravenou primární zbraň. Kliknutím myši je okamžitě po ruce a stále v pohotovosti. Po žebříku lezte přikrčení a tím vlastně lezete opatrně a potichu. Nepřítel tak o Vás neví a můžete ho překvapit. V kanálech by jste měli jít na jedné straně přitlačeny co nejvíce ke stěně a držet šipku vpřed. Tím nejsou slyšet vaše kroky a to je to nejdůležitější. Pro rychlý přesun používejte chůzi (s přerušovaným stlačením) a během. Je to rychlejší a nejsou tolik slyšet kroky.
Zbraně a vše co s tím souvisí :
Teď to nejdůležitější : nákup dobré zbraně. Ten závisí na peněžním stavu vašeho konta a na mapě kterou hrajete. Nejlepší taktika je :
Policajt
Při stavu konta 800$ - 1500 $ nákup pouze levné pistole a ušetření na lepší zbraň v dalším kole. Když je víc peněž nákup zbraně H&H MP5-Navy ( zbraň je v třetí sekci jako samopal pod pořadovým číslem 1). Jakmile je na kontě přes 3100$ kupte karabinu (je ve čtvrté sekci pod číslem 3). Na velkém prostranství když neumíte pořádně mířit je dobrý rakušák.
Terorista
Až do stavu konta 2500$ je to stejné jako u policajtů a pak koupit kalašnikov. Když jsou v mapě malé místnosti a nebo kanály je velmi dobrá brokovnice nebo machine gun. Když je velké prostranství je dobrá komandovka.
Oba
Když jste dobrý střelec a vyznavač střelby na dálku je velmi účinná snajprovka. Zde, ale platí že mapa musí mít velké prostranství a vy si zde najdete pěkné místečko odkad sestřelíte vše co se hejbne. V žádném případě se po mapě neprocházejte se snajprovkou. Úplně nejhorší jsou pak malé místnosti kde nemáte žádnou šanci na obranu.
Uděláte dobře když si koupíte nějaký ten granát. Jsou účinné a cena je přijatelná. Kupte si dva flashbangy a jednu dýmovnici a jeden normální granát. Flashbang je účinný při průniku do malé místnosti a dýmovnice se hodí na překonání velkého prostranství.
Pro vaše zdraví je dobré mít vestu a helmu. Budete se divit jak často pomůže.
Pár rad na závěr :
V mapách na bombu, si policajti určitě koupí defusal kit - potom můžete rychleji zneškodnit bombu. Nikdy neodstřelujte rukojný, protože nevíte či vás to nevyhodí - to se nastavuje na servru pomocí příkazu "mp_hostagepenalty".

1. Osvobození rukojmích
Mapy nakreslené pro tyto účely poznáte podle předpony cs. Cílem této části je osvobození rukojmí, kteří jsou v zajetí teroristů. Proti-teroristé je musí lokalizovat a za pomoci příkazů (standardně je přednastavena klávesa „e“) odvést do bezpečné zóny.
2. Položení/Odstranění bomby
Mapy nakreslené na umístění bomb mají předponu de. Jsou jako stvořené pro všechny milovníky pravé teroristické akce, protože Sadámovi spiklenci mají za úkol vyhodit do povětší nějaký objekt. Plošinku, která je vaším cílem poznáte snadno podle svého radaru. Navíc se to tam vždy hemží proti-teroristy, kteří se snaží tomuto kladení zabránit. Ovšem i v případě, že se bombu podaří na místo určení odnést, nemají ještě teroristé vyhráno. Časování trvá několik vteřin, a pokud k aktivované bombě přijde proti-terorista, může ji zavčas deaktivovat.
3. Útěk
Mise tohoto druhu již nejsou vzhledem k nízké oblíbenosti v CSKu obsažené. Jde v nich o to, aby se teroristé dostali na nějaké předem určené místo a counter teroristé se jim v tom snažili zabránit. Teroristé si, ale nemohou kupovat zbraně a mají omezenou munici. Třeba budou tyto mise v budoucnu opět do nových verzí zakomponovány.
4. Atentát
Jeden z členů protiteroristické skupinky je V.I.P. charakter a musí se za pomoci ostatních bezpečně dostat do únikové zóny. Tento člen má narozdíl od ostatních jen pistoli USP a 200 brnění a také si nemůže kupovat zbraně.
Peníze
Před začátkem většiny misí si můžete za peníze koupit zbraně, munici a různá vybavení. Většinou v poblíž startovacích bodů se objevují specializované zóny, ve kterých můžete obchodovat. Maximální vaše hotovost může být šestnáct tisíc dolarů a finance jsou vám přidělovány / odebírány podle vašich zásluh, viz tabulka která je níže.

Hračky a zbraně

Obecné rady
Obecně platí, že nemůžete jenom tak vtrhnou do baráku a v domnění, že všechny postřílíte, začít pálit. Máte vždy pouze jeden život, a jakmile zemřete (a k tomu stačí jedna dobře mířená střela), musíte čekat, než mise skončí (všichni členové jednoho z týmu zemřou či splní úkol). Důležité je rozvaha, klid a čistá mysl.
Důležitou roli hrají sluchové vjemy. Ani se nesnažte hrát hru bez zvukové karty, protože když neslyšíte okolní zvuky, jste silně handicapovaní. Proto se musíte naučit chodit potichu. To se vám podaří buď skrčeným pohybem (přes klávesu duck) nebo pomalou chůzí. Sice jste pak výrazně pomalejší a tudíž snazší oběť, ale moment překvapení je velmi důležitý a k nezaplacení. Na přesnost střelby má vliv mnoho aspektů. Například když se pohybujete, přesnost dramaticky klesá. Nejlepší je nehybně klečet na zemi a pálit dávkami. Nejhorší mušku máte při skoku a když lezete po žebřících.
Máte-li dostatečně rychlé spojení či hrajete po lokální síti, zkuste využít speciálního komunikátoru pro realtimovou komunikaci se svými kolegy. Stačí vám k tomu obyčejný mikrofon a budete překvapeni, o kolik se tím zvýší atmosféra hry.
Často se potřebujete dostat na nějaká vyvýšená místa, kam se standardně vyskočit nedá. Pro tyto účely existuje speciální tzv. duck jump, s jehož pomocí se dá „létat“. Provede se tím způsobem, že normálně vyskočíte a hnedle na to zmáčknete klávesu pro skrčení (duck).
